about

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Rodrigo Gallardo, Bomba Estereo, Nicola Cruz. Agua libre is a song inspired in the traditional Andean rhythms known as Saya and Huayño, blended with electronic beats and effects, while maintaining the nostalgia through melodies driven by Indigenous flutes (Quena and Zamponas) and the traditional Andean string instrument “Charango”.
Vanessa’s vocals, in collaboration with Chilean rapper “Frecuencia Nativa” and the Indigenous Peruvian Activist and protagonist of the multiple awarded documentary “Hija de la laguna” (daughter of the lake), “Nelidad Ayay” tell us the story of the painful fight for the waters in Chile and the rest of Latin America, as the mining businesses and multinationals are taking this natural resource for their own use, to profit and exploit it, leaving people, towns and the planet dry.
